Since 1989, Montreal rocks out every year at the Francofolies de Montréal whose mission is to promote French music from around the world, everywhere. More than 1000 artists from over 12 countries give a total of 250 shows of which 180 are free and presented outdoors; this proves the well established and deserving success of the festival. In addition to presenting many internationally known artists, the Francofolies de Montréal is also an ideal springboard for fresh new performers.
